Film Opening Research 1

NARC :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymklvJx3K9o

This is the opening scene of the film Narc which we looked at before starting the two minutes of our opening film production. When looking at the opening of this film we saw a point of view shot following two people chasing each other. The group also noticed that this camera was hand-held. This gave our group inspiration as with the fast paced movements it added a panic feeling to the audience watching. In addition to this using the camera from a point of view perspective adds realism to the scene. These aspects we will consider when doing our film, as we can see how to use the camera effectively using the hand held method, and also how to build tension and panics to scenes. This also gave our group inspiration of what elements we need to include when using the camera from a point-of-view perspective when creating a horror and mystery film.
